Every year First Call Contract Services select a charity to sponsor, this year we have chosen East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice or EACH. This important charity run organisation supports families with children who have life threatening conditions. The services they offer include day care in the family home or hospice, or both, overnight breaks in the hospice as well as many others. Every year they have the monumental task of having to raise £6m in donations in order to keep the valuable work they do going.
First Call will be taking part in as many events as possible in 2014 in order to help this heart-warming charity. The first of which, to be held in May, will be the London to Brighton challenge which will see staff run or walk their way through a 100km route as a test of real determination and stamina.
The second will be the Fright Hike Challenge, a 30Km course through extremely spooky setting of Epping Forest to be completed within a 6 hour window. As London’s largest open space famous for its ghostly sightings and paranormal activity, this challenge looks to frighten you across the finish line!
