Throughout our operating period we have developed long standing relationships with numerous companies and institutions around the UK and established ourselves as one of the UK’s leading recruitment management companies. Due to our continued success we are sometimes called upon to assist others. To this end we were honoured to be asked by de Poel to be the main sponsor for the prestigious Charity Gala they laid on in support of this year’s chosen charity, Mencap.
Held at the The Lowry Hotel, Manchester, the Gala Dinner was a huge success to say the least. With ‘Skyfall’ currently topping the box office charts it seemed appropriate the theme of the evening was Bond. James Bond.
The evening consisted of a mouth watering sit down meal followed by entertainment and the highly anticipated auction! The Senior Team here at First Call Contract Services did us all proud and as well as contributing generously to the event as a whole as sponsors, it didn’t stop them from bidding away throughout the auction. We were worried at one point David Mankelow, our MD, had got his hand stuck as it rarely came down!
It was a fantastic night and not only did it raise £34,234.86 for an incredibly worthwhile charity, we came away with a hosts of goodies including; Signed cased Lionel Messi boot, ibundle – iPad, iPhone and the new itablet as well as a weekend to Poland including flights, to name but a few!
