We have an exciting opportunity to work for a nationally recognised logistics business, considered to be the leader in its field. Pay rates from £20 per hour. The role of Maintenance Engineer is based in Braintree.
This is a temp to perm role – you will be employed via First Call Contract Services for your probationary period before being offered a permanent contract if your performance has been satisfactory.

Shifts for Maintenance Engineer:
- 07:45 – 16:15 Monday to Thursday
- 07:45 – 15:15 on Fridays
Pay:
- £20.00 per hour
- Paid weekly
Main duties of a Maintenance Engineer:
- To maintain the basic condition of the machines by means of reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
- Support breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Driving a safe culture and eliminate safety risks
- Ensure all work is completed to a good engineering standard following GMP and safe systems of work at all times
- Demonstrate mechanical comprehension
- Ability to understand and adhere to site health and safety protocols
- Experience in planned preventative asset maintenance
- Experience in root cause analysis tools / problem solving methodology
- Demonstrate that you are a real team player
