General Operatives – Newport, nr Hull

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a nationally recognised packing company, considered to be the leader in its field. Our client supplies to a selection of well-known supermarket chains.

We are proud to support our client in the recruitment of operatives to work in their various flower departments.

This role offers Monday to Friday, 9-5pm, however for 1-2 weeks prior to our client’s peaks, to be successful in your employment, you must be available for extended hours.

This Valentine peak, your working pattern is 12hrs for up to 13 days from the 5^th February.

• Shifts for General Operatives:

Working pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00am – 17:00pm
• From the 5^th February, 12 hour shift, available to work within any 7 days.

General Operative Pay:

• £11.44 per hour
• Paid weekly

Main Duties of General Operative:

• Making bouquets on a moving line
• Stripping stems of leaves
• Replenish lines
• Cutting stems
• Making boxes
• Preparing for production of glass and/or pots
• Sleeving and/or wrapping of bouquets, boxing, strapping and bucket filling
• Working safely and efficiently, keeping the work area neat and tidy
