    We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to assist with the assessment and marking of rental e-scooter and e-bike parking bays in Oxford and join us as a Parking Bay Assessment & Painting Assistant. This role involves both site evaluations and hands-on painting tasks to clearly define parking areas for shared mobility vehicles.

    Key Responsibilities of Parking Bay Assessment & Painting Assistant

    1. Site Assessment:
      • Use an e-bike to visit existing rental e-scooter/e-bike parking locations across Oxford.
      • Measure the dimensions of each parking bay and estimate total parking capacity.
      • Record findings accurately and report to the project lead.
    2. Painting & Marking:
      • Use templates to paint boundaries for each parking bay, ensuring visibility and adherence to specifications.
      • Maintain precision and quality during painting tasks.
    3. Ad-Hoc Opportunities (Pending Requirements):
      • Support business development efforts by identifying potential parking locations on private land.
      • Assist in negotiations and agreements with property owners, such as universities, retail parks, and business parks, to expand the parking network.

    Requirements of Parking Bay Assessment & Painting Assistant

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

    • Enjoys working outdoors: Comfortable spending full workdays outside in various weather conditions.
    • Physically active: Confident in cycling around Oxford and able to carry out manual tasks like painting.
    • Strong communication skills: Able to liaise effectively with team members and external parties if required.
    • Detail-oriented: Precise when measuring parking areas and painting boundaries.

    Working Hours for Parking Bay Assessment & Painting Assistant

    • Suggested Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute paid break.
      • Potential for flexible daytime schedule and reduced working hours for strong candidates e.g. around student schedule
    • Duration: 1-month with potential extension based on performance and project needs.
