    Ocean Freight Logistics Administrator

    Permanent Employment Opportunity – Immediate Interviews Available

    First Call are currently looking for an Ocean Freight Logistics Administrator on behalf of our client. This role involves managing import/export container documentation, handling CDS processes, raising ARCs, and updating T1/NCTS. You’ll liaise with shipping lines, negotiate transit rates, manage FCL/LCL shipments, and ensure smooth communication with customers, hauliers, and warehouses, while troubleshooting issues as needed.     Role responsibilities:

    Managing Container Documentation for import/export, both preparation and submission

    Handling CDS processes correctly, use of systems such as Descartes

    Raising ARCs for under bond movements and exports.

    Discharging T1 documents, NCTS updates

    Experience of liaising with shipping lines and negotiating rates for transit.

    Strong customer engagement with explaining goods in and goods out and customs processes to customers.

    Planning and managing FCL, LCL, Groupage with warehouses, including our own warehouse.

    Liaising with hauliers to ensure goods are collected and delivered accordingly.

    Troubleshooting issues from time to time.

    Requirements:

    Candidate must have ocean freight experience.

    Must be IT literate and have strong English written and speaking abilities.

    Must be able to commute timely to West Thurrock daily.

    Desirable if the candidate has worked with Excise Goods such as alcohol and or tobacco.

    Work hours:

    Monday to Friday – Office Based – 8am to 5pm – 1 hour lunch.
