Benefits of recruiting contract labourers

Benefits of recruiting contract labourers

Posted 14 December 2012

Last week we introduced you to the manufacturing and production arm of our recruitment services and positions for contract labourers. We’ve looked at the various areas of manufacturing and production we can recruit for, as well as examples of typical positions we fill… But what are the benefits to you, the employer, of going down the contract worker route?

The issue that some of the larger manufacturing organisations are experiencing is that as well as permanent employees receiving comparatively higher salaries they can be harder to motivate and in line with increasing trends, they are highly unionised and can easily be provoked over the smallest issue. The manufacturing and production industry can also be a versatile one with requirements changing all the time. Reducing your permanent workforce can be a lengthy (and legal) process so it is not surprising that over 50% of this sector choose to recruit through contract labourers.

The other huge benefit of contract workers is they will not compromise on quality or productivity since the continuance of their employment depends on it. At First Call Contract Services all our dedicated and hard working colleagues go through a rigorous recruitment process to ensure we supply the right staff to your organisation, every time.
