Job Title: CAD Operator (Night Shift)
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum, OT availability
Contract Type: Permanent
Monday to Thursday, 7:00 pm – 5:30 am
About the Role:
First Call Talent Solutions is delighted to be working with one of our valued long-term clients, who has instructed us to recruit a Night Shift CAD Operator for their Bishops Stortford operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CAD Operator to join a renowned business offering great career progression and excellent earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate, set, and run the CAD machine
- Ensure digital cut files meet specified requirements and process them on the appropriate settings for cutting
- Maintain machine operations within limitations, reporting any faults/concerns to the Machines Manager
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines
- Update the data collection system to record quality, cost, and delivery information
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe cutting department
- Follow the company recycling procedures for waste materials and chemicals/inks
- Observe and adhere to health and safety regulations, reporting concerns when necessary
- Ensure stock levels of blades, router bits, and consumables are maintained, placing orders as required
- Work extended shift hours as requested to maintain production schedules
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
- Must have experience working on Elitron and/or CAD machines
- Kongsberg experience desirable.
- Ability to produce work of the highest quality
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-managing and proactive
