Our client is looking for a passionate driver to join their small team based in Enfield to deliver goods to their stores and wholesale customers. The role will include deliveries to stores and drivers mate for larger jobs and long distance deliveries. Their drivers also assist with store openings and closures clearing out stock, fixtures and fittings therefore they are looking for someone who is physically fit, has a positive attitude and is happy to work occasional out of hours.
Skills
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods on time and in a professional manner.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of goods and perform repetitive tasks.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year 3.5T Van driving experience in the UK.
- Driving license Cat B with no more than 6 points.
- Previous working experience in a warehouse is desired, not essential.
Hours
Standard hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 40hrs per week.
Some store drops require a 6am start, this is paid by overtime rate at 1.5 and unsocial hours are paid at double time. Routes with an early start could be up to 46hrs per week.
Pay
- £25,000 – £30,000 per annual
- 20 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holiday
- Overtime available after 40 hours at 1.5 and double pay for unsociable hours
