Job Title: HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Lorry Driver (Moffet)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 16:00 (some flexibility required)
Salary: £45,500 – £50,700 per year DOE
Location: Bishop’s Stortford, covering the South-East
Compliance: CLOCS & FORS

Job Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Lorry/Moffet Driver. You’ll be based out of their Bishop’s Stortford depot, delivering and collecting scaffold materials across London and surrounding areas. As the face of the business, you’ll need a positive “can do” attitude, great customer service skills, and professionalism under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering and collecting scaffold materials to and from client construction sites in London and surrounding areas.
- Operating a Moffet (truck mounted forklift) for loading and unloading.
- Physical handling of equipment including stacking, sorting, and jet washing vehicles.
- Completing all necessary paperwork accurately.
Skills & Requirements:
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Full Class 1 or Class 2 Licence
- Current CPC Card (Driver Qualification Card)
- Maximum of 3 penalty points on licence.
- Truck mounted forklift experience (Moffet), counterbalance forklift or Hiab experience preferred.
- Minimum of 12 months UK driving experience.
- Understanding of yard and despatch operations and product knowledge.
