An opportunity has arisen as a Porter. You will be working as part of the Removals and Porterage team, for a high-profile company
Main Duties:
- Carrying out room moves and furniture arrangements/setups as requested.
- Moving furniture between locations.
- Delivering materials/consumables to the different Heathrow sites
- Emptying/collecting confidential waste bins throughout the site adhering to the waste processes
- Various aspects of Removals inclusive of furniture builds, cable management and power distribution infrastructure.
- Minor furniture repairs.
- Porterage of furniture and deliveries.
- Complying with current Health and Safety regulations.
- Attendance of toolbox talks and required training sessions.
- Maintaining all allocated equipment i.e. skates, tools etc.
- This list is not exhaustive and there may be other duties relating to the removals operation that are scheduled on an ad hoc basis.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- A valid Passport
- A full driving licence (manual) as company vehicle is provided
- Be able to work unsupervised or within a small team, with a ‘can do’ attitude
- An effective communicator with an understanding of service level agreements
- A flexible work ethic is required, prepared to work at different locations
- Maintain a smart appearance and adhere to uniform standards
- Porter and customer service experience (desirable but not essential)
- Must be punctual.
- The post holder may be required to travel to other OCS sites
- All new staff would need to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check
- Due to the physical nature of the role, this position would suit someone who likes to be active
Location : Heathrow – permanent contract
Working Days : Monday – Friday
Working Times Between 7:45 am and 3:45 pm
Shift Pattern : Days
Working Hours per Week :37.5 hours
Pay Rate :£13.27 per hour
