As you know, last weekend a team of First Call Contract Services staff took on the might of Ben Nevis in order to raise vital funds for our chosen charity for 2013, the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Guess what? We made it!! It took blood, sweat and tears but we got there. It was a dark, cold, murky morning when we set off. The mist hugged the mountain like a lost child as we gingerly started making our way up the safest route. It was a long day and took a huge amount of effort from the team, but with persistence and perseverance the team reached the 1,344 metre summit before dark fell.
We would like to offer huge congratulations to the whole team; Dan Mankelow, Dave Mankelow, Bradley Mankelow, Noel Doran, Thomas Doran, Garry Jordan, Dean Nixon, Phil Shelley and Ben Payne.
The reason behind the climb was to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust – our target is £8,000 so we still have a way to go. But fear not, there’s still time to sponsor us and believe us when we say, all support is welcome.
Once the donation period ends we will be doing a full story on the event with comments and quotes from the team themselves, as well as even more piccies for you to enjoy. If you would like to make a company donation we will also use your company logo within the feature. So what are you waiting for? Head over to our donation page here and give us your dough!
When making your donation don’t forget to tick the box to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation if you’re a UK taxpayer. Virgin Money Giving will pass this on in full to charity, making your donation go even further.
